To New Guinea & OP's inc Kokoda Track from April 1942, Ret to Aust, sick 26/10/42, to Torres Strait Infantry Bn & thence back to 55/53 BN August 1943, to Thursday Island 16/8/44, OP's Bougainville near Laruma River from 6/12/44, disch 4/1/46, awarded MID as Sergeant 55/53 Bn vide Comm Gaz 6/3/1947. Medals issued 1951. Together with Rising Sun hat & collar badges, shoulder titles, Ret from Act Serv badge; discharge certificate; 5 pay books (inc photo); personal receipts, medal entitlement slips, MID parchment (this mounted to wood display board) & envelopes of issue; 3 x B/W photos of Donohoe in jungle greens with weapon & mates.
