Payment Methods | ||||||||||||||||||
Payments from Overseas Overseas buyers should note that our auctions are conducted in Australian dollars & all invoices are expressed in AUD$. We are not in the foreign currency business and only wish to assist overseas buyers in making payment to us. Therefore, in cases of foreign currency payments, the AUD$ amount credited to us by our bankers is definite. Established customers can pay by credit cards or paypal, in addition to bank transfers. New customers can pay smaller invoices by credit cards or paypal, but for larger invoices the only accepted payment method will be bank or wire transfers. Payment easiest by: (1) Credit Cards subject to surcharge: Visa & Mastercard (+1.8%), or American Express (+2.2%) (2) Paypal in AUD$ subject to surcharge of +3% (paypal in other currencies would be much higher of at least +6%). (3) Bank or wire transfer to our account in Sydney - please note that Australian banks do NOT have IBAN numbers. Please add $20 extra to cover handling fees charged by our bank.
Please always put your buyer number as reference on the transfer & inform us when payment is sent with details of amount so we can match incoming payments with invoices. It is best for sender to have their bank convert to AUD$ and send transfer in AUD$, but of course transfers in any major currency are accepted as our bank will automatically convert foreign currency to AUD$. For transfers in foreign currency we suggest that 1% extra is added to cover currency fluctuations & bank fees, and any credit or debit will applied to buyers account. Also possible by: (4) Bank or wire transfer into our USD$ bank account in the USA, or into our GBP£ bank account in the UK. If you wish to pay in USD$ or GBP£ please ask us the equivalent amount of our AUD$ invoice, just before you make the payment. We will then provide the current USD$ or GBP£ equivalent amount, and our bank account details. Please add $10 extra to USD$ wire transfer payments to cover bank fees. (5) Sending of USD$ or GBP£ cheques/checks, cashiers checks or money orders, made out to I S Wright (and NOT to Status International). These must be sent DIRECT to the address of our USA bank or our UK bank (and not to our offices in Australia). If you wish to pay in USD$ or GBP£ that way please ask us the equivalent amount of our AUD$ invoice, just before you send the payment, and we will provide you our USA or UK bank address. (6) Bank drafts/cashier's checks in AUD$ (no bank fees) sent to our offices. (7) Australian or foreign currency banknotes by registered mail, express mail or courier company (at senders risk).
