20725 Click for more photos | Imperial Prussia.1914-18 late war (1918) 'Ersatz' Uhlan (Lancer) Czapka. Felt construction overall. Light grey-brown stiffened felt with brown leather visor trim. Non-detachable 'mortar-board' top with provision for cockade & cap cords. Nickled grey metal cockade lugs. White metal spread winged (Grenadier style) eagle plate. Enamelled iron State & National cockades. Replaced chin strap, but with some original fittings. Liner of brown leather. Stamped on underside of visor with the acceptance stamp of the supply dept of the XI Army Korps, 1918 ('BAXI/1919'). White metal fittings were utilised by 7th Uhlan Regt. Overall VGC. Rare.
