Germany: WW1 6 COLORISED B & W POSTCARDS FROM THE SERIES 'STEH' ICH FINST'RER MITTERNACHT!'. (I sang in the gloom at midnight!). All 6 studio produced cards feature a lone sentry on duty, apparently deep in thought. To the left of him in the scenes appears an almost ghostly image presumably of his wife or girlfriend. The sentry has his greatcoat on in 3 of the scenes. Nice 'colour' images of WW1 EM. All the postcards have writing to the rear and are dated 1916. Nice little piece of history. Grade II-

Germany: WW2 POSTCARD COMMEMORATING THE ANNEXATION OF AUSTRIA 13th MARCH 1938. One of the most recognisable of the vast number of Third Reich propaganda postcards. Features side profile of Adolf Hitlerís bust in the centre of a map of Germany. Large gilt NSDAP eagle and swastika to the upper section. Writing to the reverse, large Hitler head postage stamp and postmarked 20th April 1938. Good condition with some minor soiling and age related yellowing to the card.
