AUSTRIA WWI BROWN LEATHER PISTOL HOLSTER. Likely for a M1898 Rast and Gasser 8mm revolver. Dark brown leather in nice supple condition. Twin leather loops to the reverse for attaching to the wide belt. Brass stud for securing the closure flap. Small "D" ring to either side of the holster presumably to attach it to a leather strap or other field gear for wear. Canvas material pouches, under the closure flap, for holding an extra 10 rounds of ammunition. Stamped in to the leather above the ammo pouches is "USSCHUSS" and to the reverse is a now indecipherable oval shaped stamp with the numeral "12" beneath. Scarce. Grade II
