Australia: C/VIETNAM RAAF UNIFORM GROUPING TO SQUADRON LEADER. S/D tunic. Australian shoulder titles, Q/C staybrite buttons all present. bullion Q/C navigator wing on black wool, 3 place ribbon bar, queens commendation for valuable service in the air (awarded 1980), DFSM & national medal. SQ/LDR rank to cuffs, 1972 dated O/A in good condition, C/W 1974 date S/D trousers not original to tunic also in good condition. C/W 1991 dated S/D peak cap, Q/C officers cap badge, not originally with tunic. Tunic named to Peterkin. Nice set for Vietnam display, worthy of further research on Peterkin. Grade II (P)
Finland: : WW2 RARE FINNISH UNIFORM EM'S M36 TUNIC, WINTER FUR STRAPS, AMMO POUCHES, CANTEEN, BREAD BAG, ENTRENCHING TOOL AND CARRIER. ALSO COMES WITH A SET OF WW2 FINNISH SNOW CAMO WHITE TROUSERS AND HOODED JACKET. A seldom seen Axis group suitable for display on a mannequin. 4 pocket heavy field grey wool M36 tunic. The tunic was actually based on the German M36 combat tunic with some obvious similarities, 6 button closure to the front. All 6 plastic/bakelite buttons are a dark green-grey colour with the Finnish national emblem of a stylised lion holding a broad sword. Single green-grey button to each pocket. Lower pockets have a cloth divider with a small black plastic button to secure the inner "pocket within a pocket". 2 small black plastic buttons to each cuff. Reinforced cloth belt ramp supports to the left and right rear of the tunic. Plain sew in type shoulder boards secured with a single small green-grey plastic button. Brass coloured metal "Jaeger" (Finnish mountain troops) device to each shoulder board consisting of a crossed swords superimposed over a bicycle. Partial inner lining which also consists of the inside of the upper outer pockets. Single wound pocket. Lining stamped "Int 42" (possibly maker's initials and date 1942), "56 A" (possibly size?) and "KAURANEN Y", possibly the owner of the tunic's name. Some moth nips to the front of the tunic, but not enough to impact on display. Winter fur cap with turn down side for extreme weather. Main body of the cap is heavy field grey wool. To the centre of the front of the cap is an EM's blue and white painted w/m cockade. Small grey material ties to the top that secure the sides when not in use. Small area of mothing to the top of the cap. Inner lined with a soft grey wool like material. Shows heavy sweat staining to the inner rim. Dark brown leather adjustable Finnish pattern "Y" straps with a black leather double claw belt. C/w a pair of German G98 ammo pouches, both dated 1915, but not quite a matching pair. Leather belt loop to the rear of one of the pouches has been replaced with a strip of green leather. Finnish issue bread bag made of a grey canvas material. Has the matching shoulder strap. Aluminium water canteen with field grey felt material cover. Lid marked "Int 42". 9 pocket ammunition bandolier with black painted w/m buttons. Each marked "SIRO SUOMI". Most likely unissued. Shows only minor soiling, little wear. Brown leather entrenching tool cover marked "SA" (for Finland, not the German Sturmabteilung) and dated "1936". Generic European entrenching tool with a black painted steel shovel head and wood handle. Shovel head shows significant paint loss through wear. Marked with a bat symbol and the letters "BAT". Also marked with a small triangle with a "1" to the centre and "?369/0106 K3". Snow cammo trousers with a drawstring waist and drawstring closure to both trouser cuffs. Zip to either side for accessing the uniform beneath. Matching hooded jacket with 5 button closure. 5 buttons are all matching and appear to be made of some sort of cardboard/fibre covered in white material. Slash cut opening to each side of the jacket for the wearer to access the tunic or jacket beneath. A rare grouping of Axis combat uniform and equipment items that make an instant display! Great Britain: CIRCA 1900 11TH HUSSARS TUNIC AND OVERALLS. Black melton cloth tunic with heavy gilt bullion braid (with Austrian knots) to the front. Gilt bullion braid to the exterior of the collar. Brass hook and eye concealed front closures. Five gilt bullion outer toggle closures, missing the bottom waistline toggle. Gilt bullion braid to each cuff, fitting for that of a company grade officer. The shoulder cords with bullion rank pips for captain. Heavy gilt bullion braid to the rear of the tunic. Has been used, sometime in the past as a theatre costume, the sleeve linings and the majority of the interior lining removed with only a small section of the padded lining remaining. Some minor mothing to the rear directly below the collar and to the right shoulder area. Cherry coloured overalls with extra exterior padding to the lower inner legs. Metal buttons to the fly, waistline and the lower leg closures. One front concealed pocket to the r/s waistline. Partial interior lining with ink "Broad Arrows" and "11 H" (11th Hussars) stampings. No tears or moth damage. An attractive display piece. Grade II-
Germany: WW2 RARE KRIEGSMARINE LEATHER FOUL WEATHER TROUSERS AND JACKET FOR OPERATIONAL PERSONNEL OF U-BOATS AND OTHER CRAFT. Trousers with scarce original leather belt and braces. Double breasted short style black leather jacket with 2 rows of 5 black plastic/bakelite buttons. No external pockets. 4 smaller black plastic/bakelite button to the cuffs. Inner fully lined with a black suede material Single large internal pocket made of heavy tan coloured canvas like material. Several ink stamps to the pocket, but not readable. Internal material string ties for waist adjustment. Ventilation opening to both armpits. Small 'L' shaped tear to the rear of the jacket below the collar approx. 10mm by 25mm. No evidence of this jacket having shoulder boards or any other insignia. Shows wear consistent with combat use. Large size black leather trousers for going over other uniform attire. 4 button fly and metal clasp closure (missing 2 of the buttons). Original black leather external belt with all 6 leather belt loops intact. 2 vertically opening pockets with leather flap and single button closure (missing single button to the left hand pocket flap). 12 black metal ventilation grommets to the crotch. 2 buttons and a securing strap to each of the trousers leg bottoms. Missing one button to the right leg. Comes with a set of extremely scarce black leather cross-over suspenders. Inner lived with black suede like material. Right hand canvas pocket material has numerous ink stamps most of which are sizes. Does have what appears to be a makers mark, but this is unreadable. Small internal canvas material pocket attached to the inside of the left trouser pocket. A truly scarce and sought-after uniform that would make a superb display on a mannequin. O/a Grade II- (P)
Hungary: WW2 ROYAL HUNGARIAN ARMY EM'S UNIFORM LOT. Consists of a heavy wool khaki greatcoat with a large dark brown wool fleece collar, German pattern Hungarian M35 steel helmet, this retaining most of its original green finish, shell style "GY64". Has basic Hungarian 3 pad liner and German style Luftschutz chinstrap. Liner pads are present but mostly detached from the liner band (these helmets are hard to find). Also included is an EM's brown leather combat belt, single D/pouch ammunition carrier, pair of knee high brown leather lace up boots, Hungarian pattern WW2 gas mask in a tan canvas carry bag, a heavily worn tan canvas Hungarian haversack, dated 1941, and an aluminium cap/canteen set. Together this makes a great axis display, very hard to find as a lot. O/A Grade II-.
