ANCIENT ROMAN OIL LAMP. C/2nd/3rd century. Flat oval shaped oil lamp. 8cm by 8cm long, including slight extension for wick nozzle. 3mc high, the top half features a liner pattern. On the bottom is what could possibly be a makers mark and a modern number in red paint. The nozzle extension has been chipped but doesn't detract from its appearance. An interesting example of an early oil lamp. Grade II-
