Arthur Fitzhardinge served in South Africa in the Citizens Bushmen's Contingent (NSW Bushmen) & with a commission in the 2ndBN Lancashire Fusiliers & 9 LHR (CMF) before enlisting as a Captain in the 36th BN AIF in France.
