Bavaria: WWI CASED SERVICE CROSS FOR VOLUNTARY NURSING. Silver and enamel cross, Hallmarked "900 GH" blue & white striped ribbon with silvered "1914" bar & Bavarian crown. Brown leatherette case with W/M medical emblem (snake entwined around a wooden shaft) to the exterior of the lid. Red, patterned, lining to the interior of the lid, mauve flocking to the base. Grade II-

Brunswick: Ca 1908 GRAND SASH BADGE 1st CLASS, ORDER OF HENRY THE LION. Eight pointed gold rimmed light blue enamel cross. The obverse centre has the crowned monogram in gold on a silver field. The reverse centre has the motto "Immota Fides" (Steadfast and Faithful) in gold on a silver field. Has the Imperial German hallmark to the top arm with a '900' silver content. Shallow enamel chip to the reverse of the left arm. Not very noticeable. The cross has its suspension loop, but does not have the sash. A rare Imperial award. Grade II-.
