POST 1922 CROIX DE GUERRE (DES THEATRES D'OPERATIONS EXTERIEURES) (TOE) Version of the medal awarded for military service in wars other than World War I and World War II, not fought on French soil (for example Korea, Indochina etc). This example also has the mentioned in dispatches device of a bronze star attached to the ribbon, for those who had been mentioned at the regiment or brigade level. 1830-1848 FIRST EMPIRE LEGION OF HONOUR KNIGHT. Gold, silver and enamel. Chips and repairs to the white enamel on the arms of the cross. Central medallion of gold featuring to its obv. the head of Henry IV. The rev. features two crossed French flags. Wear to the dark blue enamel bordering the central gold medallion. A small silver crown to the top of the cross. Newer length of red ribbon allowing for the age of the award. Grade II-.

WW2 RARE FREE FRENCH 326 "NICE" SQUADRON BRASS MEDALLION. Obverse depicts the silhouettes of three planes and a set of wings. Reverse with wording "GROUPE DE CHASSE 2/7 NICE. TUNISIE CORSE ITALIE FRANCE. 4MAI 1943 4 MAI 1945. 326 SQUADRON". Size 50mm diameter. The 326 Squadron was a designated RAF fighter. Grade II- (P)
