WW2 RARE COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL OF THE WINTER WAR AGAINST THE SOVIETS IN BRONZE FOR FOREIGNERS (TALVISODAN MUISTOMITALI) 1939-40. Bronze coloured circular medal. Features the side profile of a soldier in winter uniform taking aim with a rifle, to the centre of the obverse. Around the soldier are the coats of arms of the provinces of Finland. The medals issued to Finnish nationals of the same name, were manufactured in a blackened iron. Just over one thousand bronze medals were issued to foreigners, making this a rare and sought after medal. C/w a length of ribbon. Grade II-
