EARLY 19TH CENTURY "BROWN BESS" INDIA PATTERN SOCKET BAYONET. Normal age staining and light pitting to the blade which has a partially worn manufacturers' stamping, "HADLEY... JOHNSON", with an inspector's mark above, being a crown over the number 40 and 2 large letter R's below. Stamped 481 on the elbow. Has been modified, most likely in the 1830s by having the right side of the collar filed down and the third step of the mortise extended, suggesting use with percussion arms. A nice example. No scabbard. Grade II-.

PATTERN 1845 SAPPER & MINERS SWORD BAYONET SINGLE EDGED BLADE WITH A LARGE FULLER. Stamped "S Hill" to spine. A hard to find bayonet. No scabbard. Grade II-

1848 PATTERN VOLUNTEER BRUNSWICK SWORD BAYONET. Brass grip and cross guard. Working release catch. Inspector's mark to the ricasso and to the underside of the cross guard. O/A dark staining and some areas of pitting to the blade which could be polished to give it a brighter appearance. Still a collectable example of a rare bayonet. No scabbard. Grade II- (P)

WW1 PATTERN 1907 SWORD BAYONET BY MAKER "CHAPMAN". Complete with tear drop scabbard. Made in August 1918. Canadian issue stamp to pommel. Also unit marked to "R.H.L.I. C.A.S.F" rifle no. 967. Grade II-
