Australia: WW2 RAAF LOVELY DESK TOP SET MADE FROM SECTION OF LARGE PROPELLOR BLADE cut section of prop badge in nice laminated wood with it's metal edge protector in place. Mounted on the propeller are 2x silver coloured .303 bullets, 2x glass ink jars a K/C silver O/R cap badge and very nice large RAAF eagle in silver. Two shallow pen holders have been carved into the top. 4x small stops on bottom to balance on desk top. This is a well done piece and possibly presented to a high ranking officer. Tops to ink wells no longer present and one bullet loose. A really nice piece of 'trench art' that would look fantastic on a desk or on display. Grade II- (P)

Australia:WW2 POSSIBLY THE MOST INTRICATE AND BEST SOUVENIR TRENCH ART ITEM OF THE MIDDLE EAST CAMPAIGN. A 1930 dated Australian Army alum. mess Dixie (double pan) covered in engraved pictures and pattern work unparalleled in accuracy to any we have seen. The small pan features on the underside a large Muslim mosque with a 3D perspective courtyard. The longer sides features a very detailed army medical staff car on one side and a Bren gun carrier on the other. The shorter sides feature an Egyptian and a digger's head in slouch hat and the other end a detailed rising sun hat badge. The larger pan features on the flat bottom a very large RAF/RAAF biplane, a 303 rifle, Vickers MG and the Pyramids. The longer sides with the diggers name and reg no., 'Egypt' 'Palestine' '1940 1941'. The other side a British fighter plane. The short side features crossed Australian and British Flags with 'Australia 2nd AIF'. The other end a Kangaroo and a Kookaburra. A first rate piece of art. Grade I (P)

Great Britain: CIRCA WW1 TRENCH ART MINIATURE ARMY VISOR CAP. Brass with a w/m visor. Dent to the rhs of the visor and partially separated from the brass rim at this point, also a dent to the rear brass rim. Copper coloured chinstrap with a small facsimile 'The Queen's Regiment' brass and en. hat badge to the centre with some en., damage, but still an attractive and well detailed piece of trench art. Australia/Great Britain: WW2 DECORATIVE BRASS TRENCH ART SHELL FEATURING DISNEY CHARACTERS. Cut down 1942 dated brass naval 4.7inch artillery shell. A very professionally manufactured item of trench art featuring the cut out profiles of Walt Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and Donald Duck. Shell stands approx. 105mm tall and is 153mm across the diameter of the base. Well marked to the base '4.7in Mks III to IV Guns LOT 8 DB/C1942'. A very unusual and attractive example of trench art. Germany: WW1 SUPERB HAND PAINTED RELIC ENTRENCHING TOOL WITH 'STOSSTRUPP 1917' BATTLE SCENE. Consists of a ground dug relic entrenching tool shovel head (no wooden handle) that has been treated with rust stabiliser and then has had a battle scene hand painted over it. Scene is titled 'Stosstrupp 1917'. Shock troop 1917 clearly in reference to the feared German assault teams in the later part of the war. In the forefront of the battle scene there is a fully kitted out infantry soldier in the process of throwing a stick grenade. Nice detail. Reverse of the shovel head has been painted a field grey colour. Shovel head shows heavy pitting and a few small holes under the paint work. An eye catching item of original artwork for display.
