Russian POs: 1900 Boxer Uprising use of Arms 3k postal card uprated with 1k, 2k, 3k & 5k, tied by 3 clear strikes of boxed Russian "PEKIN / 19 00" provisional cancel with "16 XII" inserted m/s date. The normal pmk used previously by the Russian PO was lost in the fighting, this primitive postmark was made & used for a very short period, plus German POs "China" opt 5pf & 10pf, & Germania w/o opt tied by "Peking Deutsche Post 17/12/00" cds. To Germany with interesting Boxer Uprising propaganda caricature illustration on reverse. Superb fresh condition. Major rarity of Russian POs in China as only several commercial covers with the "PEKIN" provisional cancel are recorded (nowadays worth something like $100,000+ per cover!), so even a philatelic usage such as this is great item for the specialist. 2013 Ceremuga photo cert.
