Envelope-PTPO: 1896 use of Centennial 1d envelope with all-over reverse printing for Wall & Molesworth Shipping Agents. Sent locally in Sydney & arriving the next day, but somehow it has received a boxed "Pirosafi Esteri" h/s! Italian for "steamships from the east". (P)

Registered Envelopes: 1880s-90s QV all diff range with 4d (6) inc the normal envelope type (scarce) & 3d (4). Mostly VF overall fresh & cleaner than usually seen, with no flaps stuck. H&G C1, 1a, 2, 4a, 5, 5a, 8, 8a, 11 & 11a. Est retail $400+. Very scarce group. (10)

Telegrams: 1894 QV 6d red & 1/- black forms with "Specimen" opt on stamp imprints. VF fresh UN, horiz centre fold as usual. Hard to find so nice. Similar realised $700+ in our auction 235. (2) (P)

Wrapper: 1865? QV ½d brown DIE PROOF (114x144mm) -die 1 with narrow "H", on no wmk wove paper similar to that used for wrappers. The 1d stamp issued 1862, but ½d stamp not until 1892. Superb fresh UN as made. Believed unique this colour. (P)

1913 use of NSW 3d Registered Envelope with Kangaroo 2d 1st wmk tied by "Sydney 20 JA 13" cds, to Adelaide, orange & black reg label. Paying double letter rate & reg. Fine & very early use of the 2d, first dispatched to Sydney on 11 Jan 1913, & 3 FDC are known cancelled 15 Jan. This may be earliest use of 2d on cover. (P)

1913 use of Kangaroo 1d red pr uprating NSW 3d long type Registered Envelope (light tones), tied by "Registered Sydney 18 MR 13" cds, with orange & black reg label, paying double British Empire rate & reg to UK, London transit, & Salisbury b/s. A very desirable combination pre-fed/federation entire. (P)

1913 use of Kangaroo 5d on NSW 4d Registered Envelope (aged & battered) tied by "Wellington 11 OC 13" cds, to Honolulu, red & black reg label, b/s Sydney & Honolulu. Kangaroo 5d rare on combination cover paying double foreign letter rate, the reg fee was 3d only; Wellington must have carried stock of the by then obsolete 4d Reg envelope.
