1948 Registered cover franked German Occup (!) 1941 VILNIUS opts 5k-60k, tied by "Vilnius 16 9 48" cds, plus Soviet 20k Postcard registered & uprated with "Vilnius 21 7 48" cds, being earlier item from same correspondence. SG 10-16 cat £70+, Mi 10-16 cat €62+ as loose stamps. Amazing usage during Soviet period as sender was lucky the authorities didn't notice the German Occup stamps, as then the KGB would have paid him a visit. (2). (P)
